The partner banner
Why a partner banner appears at the top of the Kraft Booking dashboard, who sees it, how it is moderated and what it does not do.
When you open Kraft Booking › Dashboard in your WordPress admin, a partner banner appears at the top of the screen, once the site is connected to Kraft GDA: an offer from a selected provider (insurance, concierge services, equipment, services for hosts, etc.). This article explains why it exists, who sees it and what safeguards surround it.
Why this banner exists
Kraft Booking is a free plugin, with no subscription, maintained and supported by a team. Its funding comes from two sources:
- the 0.9% service fee on online payments (0.45% until 30 June 2027) (see The 0.9% service fee);
- the partner banner displayed in the admin.
The second source keeps the plugin free, including for owners who do not collect payments online, and keeps the service fee rate below 1%. By accepting the connection of your site, you accept this model, which is restated on the authorization screen.
Who sees the banner
The banner is visible only in the WordPress admin, at the top of Kraft Booking › Dashboard, to users who have access to that screen: the site administrator and, where applicable, accounts with a Kraft Booking role (“DiviKraft Manager”, “DiviKraft Team”, “DiviKraft Accounting”).
It never appears:
- on the public pages of your site;
- in the booking or appointment forms;
- in the guest portal or the client link;
- in the emails sent to your guests;
- in Kraft Console, your front-end dashboard;
- for users who have no access to Kraft Booking › Dashboard (for example a WordPress editor, or an owner who only sees “My accommodations”).
Your guests and clients therefore never know it exists.
What the banner does not do
- No tracking of your visitors: the banner is loaded only in the admin, never on your public site. It sets no cookies in your guests' browsers and collects nothing about them.
- No third-party scripts: the image and the text are served by the Kraft GDA platform itself, with no external ad network or pixel.
- No personal data passed to advertisers: the advertiser receives only aggregated impression and click statistics. It knows neither your name, nor your site's address, nor your figures.
- No individual targeting: the banner is chosen on general criteria (country, admin language, type of accommodation you have declared), never on your behaviour.
When you click a banner, you are taken to the advertiser's site without your site's address being passed to them.
Moderation by GDA
Every campaign is approved manually by the Global Digital Agency team before it goes live. Among other things, the following are refused:
- offers unrelated to the activity of hosts or service providers;
- misleading, aggressive or unlawful content;
- competing offers likely to harm your business;
- any technically intrusive creative.
The banner is clearly identified with the "Sponsored" label and the advertiser's name.
If a banner seems inappropriate to you, report it to support from your customer area (“Help” bubble › “Talk to a human”) or see Troubleshooting. Every report is reviewed.
Frequency and display
- A single banner at a time, in a fixed spot at the top of Kraft Booking › Dashboard.
- The impressions and clicks counted each day are capped for each site.
- If no campaign matches your profile, the spot shows a Kraft panel (“This partner space funds Kraft Booking's free model”, “Become a partner” button).
You can enter your type of accommodation in your owner account (“My sites” › “Details” › “Information” card: “Type of accommodation” and “Country”, then “Save”) so that the offers shown are more relevant; this information remains optional. The same page shows the impressions and clicks over the last 30 days (“Banner 30 d”).
Why the banner cannot be turned off
Because it is part of the model that keeps the plugin free, the banner cannot be turned off: the “×” cross (“Close the partner banner”) only closes it for the current visit, and it reappears when you come back to the dashboard. No setting removes it, and it must not be removed through a code change. The plugin reports to the platform if the banner never displays, which lets the GDA team contact you in the event of a display problem or a workaround. No automatic penalty is applied.
If having a banner displayed in your admin does not suit you, contact us: we will explain the possible alternatives.
