Who is the plugin for?

GDA Kraft Booking is aimed at three audiences:

  • accommodation owners and managers who want to take direct bookings on their own website, alongside or instead of platforms such as Airbnb or Booking.com;
  • professionals who work by appointment: practitioners, coaches, salons, practices, organisers of classes, workshops or tours;
  • WordPress agencies and freelancers who build these sites for their clients with Divi, Elementor or the block editor.

What does GDA Kraft Booking do?

Accommodation mode

Accommodation mode handles overnight rentals:

  • night-by-night rates by season, with minimum stay, fixed check-in days and length-of-stay discounts;
  • promo codes, fees and additional services (cleaning, linen, breakfast…), and tourist tax added automatically from the amount per person per night that you enter;
  • a deposit at booking and the balance charged automatically before arrival;
  • iCal sync with Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo, re-read every 15 minutes;
  • a password-free guest portal, confirmation generated automatically, invoices and credit notes issued in one click from the booking record, reviews.

Details are explained in Seasons and rates and Deposit, balance and tourist tax.

Appointment mode

Appointment mode handles bookings for a time slot: services with a duration and price, staff members with their working hours, breaks and time off, group sessions with limited places, a waiting list, changes by the client and email reminders. See Setting up appointments.

How is the plugin funded?

The plugin is free, with no limit on bookings or sites. Global Digital Agency earns money in two ways, described plainly:

  1. a service fee on each payment collected online: 0.9%, reduced to 0.45% until 30 June 2027 under the launch offer;
  2. a partner banner visible only to the administrator in the WordPress admin, never to your visitors.

Payments you record yourself (bank transfer, cheque, cash) and bookings imported through iCal carry no fees. Stripe's own processing fees come on top, according to Stripe's pricing. All the details are on the Pricing page and in The 0.9% service fee.

Do you need to create an account?

It depends on the edition. GDA Kraft Booking is available for free on WordPress.org: from WordPress, Plugins › Add New Plugin, search for “GDA Kraft Booking”. This WordPress.org edition (free core) works without an account for accommodations, rates, calendar, iCal sync, manual bookings and booking requests; it does not include appointment mode, online payment (Kraft Pay, Stripe) or Kraft Console, which belong to the separate GDA Kraft Booking Connect add-on, available from Downloads in the client area once the site is connected.

For these features, install the complete GDA edition, with a free Kraft GDA account and no bank card: download it from the client area (“Downloads”, .zip file, Plugins › Add New › Upload Plugin), then connect the site to the platform, which activates online payment, signed updates and appointment mode. This edition includes everything: no add-on to install. You can sign up at /en/inscription; the procedure is described in Install and connect Kraft Booking.

What are the current limitations?

GDA Kraft Booking is a public beta: the product is usable, but it is evolving quickly and some features are still announced rather than delivered.

  • Bricks: native support coming soon; in the meantime, shortcodes work in the Bricks Shortcode element.
  • Import Studio (Kraft Designer, converting a design into Divi pages) is coming soon. For data, Kraft Booking › Migration carries over accommodation from MotoPress Hotel Booking or JetBooking; from any other tool, migration is manual.
  • The plugin is not a channel manager: synchronisation with platforms runs through iCal (blocked dates), not through an API connection that would also share prices.
