How do I showcase a property with galleries, a room-by-room tour and a guestbook?
The GDA Kraft Booking design modules (galleries, room-by-room tour, guestbook, Google and Trustpilot reviews) help sell the stay. Method and rules to follow.
A guest books direct when they can picture themselves in the property and trust the host. The design modules of GDA Kraft Booking, the WordPress plugin by Global Digital Agency, serve both goals: galleries and the room-by-room tour show the property space by space, while the guestbook and the display of Google and Trustpilot reviews provide social proof. This article explains how to use them effectively and which rules to follow for reviews.
These modules come from Kraft Designer (the “Design & modules” module in Kraft Booking › Modules, active by default, with its own “Kraft Designer” menu). In Divi 5, search for “Kraft Designer”: “Kraft Designer — Galerie par pièces” (room-by-room gallery), “— Galerie dynamique” (dynamic gallery), “— Visite de la villa” (villa tour), “— Livre d'or (recueil)” (guestbook, display), “— Livre d'or (dépôt)” (guestbook, submission form), “— Avis externes” (external reviews). With another builder, use the shortcodes
[kraft_room_gallery],[kraft_gallery],[kraft_guestbook],[kraft_guestbook_form]and[kraft_reviews]. They are included in the edition downloaded from your Kraft GDA customer area (free account, no credit card, /en/inscription): no add-on to install.
Which modules, for which purpose?
| Module | What it gives the guest | Question it answers |
|---|---|---|
| Room-by-room gallery, Dynamic gallery | Photos of the property | “What does it look like?” |
| Villa tour (room-by-room tour) | A presentation organised space by space | “How is the property laid out?” |
| Guestbook (display and submission) | Messages left by past guests | “How did other people's stays go?” |
| External reviews (Google and Trustpilot) | Reviews published on third-party platforms | “Is this host reliable?” |
How do I build a gallery that gets bookings?
A gallery is not a photo album: it is a sales argument. A few principles:
- The first photo is the most viewed: choose the living area or the most representative view, in natural light.
- A logical order: exterior, living area, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, then amenities and surroundings.
- Honest photos: show the bathroom and kitchen as they are too. A misleading photo is paid for in negative reviews.
- Landscape format for rooms, framed at eye level.
- Fifteen to thirty photos are often enough; beyond that, guests stop looking.
On the technical side:
- export photos at a width close to their actual display size (around 2,000 pixels for a full-width image) and in WebP format;
- fill in descriptive alt text for each image (“Bedroom with double bed overlooking the garden”), useful for accessibility and search;
- check on mobile that the gallery is easy to swipe through.
What is the room-by-room tour for?
The room-by-room tour organises the property's presentation by room or area: living room, kitchen, each bedroom, outdoor space. The guest understands the layout, whereas a jumbled gallery leaves them guessing.
For each space, prepare:
- two to four photos of the space;
- a concrete one-line description (“Bedroom 2: two 90 cm single beds, storage, window onto the courtyard”);
- the amenities specific to the space (cot, desk, air conditioning).
The spaces are entered once, in the “Room-by-room gallery” field of the accommodation's record (or in Kraft Console › “Galleries”); the Room-by-room gallery and the Villa tour both reuse them. This presentation is particularly useful for large properties, villas and B&Bs, where guests want to know who will sleep where. See also Booking website for a villa.
How do I keep a guestbook alive?
A guestbook gathers the messages left by your guests. With Kraft Designer, the guest leaves their message on the page containing the “Livre d'or (dépôt)” module, after identifying themselves with the email address and number of their booking; each message awaits your approval in Kraft Designer › Guestbook (“Approve and publish”) or in Kraft Console › “Guestbook”. To make it credible:
- ask for a message after each stay, for example in the email sent after departure;
- publish messages as they are, correcting at most an obvious typo;
- never write fake messages yourself;
- show the date or period of the stay, to show that messages are recent.
Which rules apply to displaying reviews?
Displaying Google and Trustpilot reviews on your site is a trust signal, provided you respect consumer law. In France, article L111-7-2 of the French Consumer Code requires anyone who publishes consumer reviews to provide fair, clear and transparent information on whether or not reviews are checked and on how they are published (text on Légifrance, consulted on 12 October 2026). This rule applies in France only; elsewhere, check your country's consumer protection rules.
To display your reviews, enter your credentials in Kraft Designer › Google & Trustpilot reviews (“Google Places key” and “Google Place ID”, “Trustpilot API key” and “Trustpilot Business Unit ID”), then click “Sync now”; synchronisation then runs again every day.
Practical rules:
- no fake reviews, whether written by you or bought;
- do not filter to show only positive reviews without saying so; if you display a selection, say so;
- state the source of each review (Google, Trustpilot, guestbook) and, if you know, whether the reviews are verified;
- reply to negative reviews on the original platform, calmly and factually.
For a complete method for collecting reviews, see Collect guest reviews for a holiday let.
Where should I place these modules on the page?
A typical layout, from top to bottom:
- Gallery in the header, below the name of the accommodation;
- description, then room-by-room tour;
- booking form and calendar, in a side column on desktop;
- reviews and guestbook, just before the cancellation policy and contact details.

Frequently asked questions
Are the design modules paid?
No. GDA Kraft Booking is free, with no Pro version. Only payments collected online carry a service fee of 0.9%, reduced to 0.45% until 30 June 2027; see Pricing.
Can I import my Airbnb reviews?
The External reviews module syncs Google and Trustpilot reviews; on top of these come your guestbook and Kraft Booking's guest reviews (the “DiviKraft · Avis voyageurs” module). Importing Airbnb reviews is not available to date.
How many photos should I put in the gallery?
There is no absolute rule; fifteen to thirty well-chosen photos generally cover a property. Fewer photos are better, as long as each one is useful.
Will the gallery slow down my page?
It is mainly oversized images that slow a page down. Compress them as WebP, at dimensions close to their actual display size, and fill in their alt text.
