Does GDA Kraft Booking work with Bricks Builder?

Native Bricks integration is announced as coming soon. In the meantime, place the shortcode of the element you want in Bricks' Shortcode element.

Native GDA Kraft Booking elements for Bricks Builder are announced as coming soon: there is no dedicated Bricks element today. In the meantime, every element (booking form, calendar, search, appointments, etc.) works in Bricks through its shortcode, placed in Bricks' Shortcode element. The output and features are identical; only visual customisation from the Bricks interface is more limited.

GDA Kraft Booking, published by Global Digital Agency, is in public beta 0.1; version 1.0 is planned for June 2027. No date has been announced for the Bricks elements to date: see Kraft Booking in beta: roadmap to follow progress.

What is a shortcode?

A shortcode is a short code in square brackets that WordPress replaces, on display, with dynamic content: here, a booking form or a calendar. It works in almost every theme and builder, which makes it the universal solution until a native integration is available.

How do I use GDA Kraft Booking in Bricks today?

  1. Choose the shortcode of the element you want: [divikraft_booking_search] (search), [divikraft_booking_results] (results), [divikraft_booking_calendar] (calendar), [divikraft_booking_form] (booking form), [divikraft_booking_portal] (customer area) or [divikraft_booking_appointments] (appointment booking).
  2. Add a parameter if needed, for example [divikraft_booking_calendar unit_id="12"] for a specific property, or [divikraft_booking_appointments gateway="stripe"] for online payment of appointments (an example shown in Kraft Booking › Appointment settings, “Integration” section).
  3. Open the page in the Bricks editor.
  4. Add Bricks' Shortcode element in the container of your choice.
  5. Paste the shortcode into the field provided.
  6. Save, then check the page on the site (the preview in the editor may differ from the final output).

Do not invent parameters: without a parameter, each shortcode uses its default settings. Appointments, Kraft Console, the design modules, Kraft Fields and online payment are included in the edition downloaded from your Kraft GDA customer area (free account, no credit card): no add-on to install.

How do I polish the layout in the meantime?

The shortcode's content does not expose its style settings in the Bricks interface. You can, however, control its surroundings:

  • set width, margins and spacing on the Bricks container or block surrounding the Shortcode element;
  • place the form in a side column about one third of the width on an accommodation page, below a price box;
  • on mobile, move this column below the description and add a button that jumps straight to the form;
  • check that your theme's global colours and typography give the form, which inherits them, sufficient contrast.

The typical structure of a listing page is detailed in How do I add a booking widget in Elementor?; it carries over directly to Bricks.

Do I need to wait for native integration to launch a site?

No, if the shortcode is enough for you: booking, payment and appointment features are the same. If fine-tuning the form's layout from Bricks is essential to your project, you can either build the booking pages with the block editor (see How do I add a booking block in Gutenberg?) or wait for the native elements.

When they become available, you will be able to replace each Shortcode element with the corresponding native element, page by page.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Kraft Booking element in Bricks?

Not yet. Native elements for Bricks are announced as coming soon; use Bricks' Shortcode element in the meantime.

Does the shortcode offer every feature?

Yes. The output and features are identical to those of the blocks, widgets and modules: dates, extras, payment, appointments.

Where can I find the shortcodes?

They are listed above: [divikraft_booking_search], [divikraft_booking_results], [divikraft_booking_calendar], [divikraft_booking_form], [divikraft_booking_portal] and [divikraft_booking_appointments]. There is no screen listing them in the admin; only the appointment example appears in Appointment settings.

Does the shortcode work in Bricks templates?

This case is not documented. Test on two pages that each one displays the expected accommodation or service.
